Bellingham is a typical Northumbrian village 17 miles north of the market town of Hexham that somehow has managed to retain it's shops, banks, pubs and churches.

The village is situated on the banks of the North Tyne river and on the edge of the Northumberland National Park.

It is served by a regular bus service which links to the Newcastle/Carlisle rail network.
